AFCAT  Recruitment  2016 :–Indian Air Force has issued a notification for the recruitment of Commissioned Officer vacancies in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 02/ 2016.All Eligible candidates can apply online from 04 June 2016 to 30 June 2016. Other details like age, educational qualification, selection process & how to apply are given as under.......



AFCAT Various Post  Details:-
Name of the Post:- Commissioned Officers 
1. Flying Branch:-
A. No. 202/17F/SSC/M & W ( Short Service Commission for men & women)
2. Technical Branch:-
A. No. 201/17T/PC/M (Permanent Commission for men)
B. No. 201/17T/SSC/M & W (Short Service Commission for men & women)
3. Ground Duty Branch:-
A. No. 201/17G/PC/M (Permanent Commission for men)
B. No. 201/17G/SSC/M & W (Short Service Commission for men & women)



Age :- Candidates age Must be between 20year  -  24 years for Flying Branch, 20 year - 26 years for Technical Branch, 20 year - 26 year for Ground Duty Branch as on 01 July 2017.

Educational Qualification:- Candidates must be possess B.E/ B.Tech with 60% marks at aggregate for Flying Branch, Four year Degree/ Integrated Post Graduation qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks for Technical Branch and Graduation with 60% marks/ B.Com Degree/ MBA/ MCA or MA/ M. Sc Degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International relations/ International studies/ Defence studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with minimum of 50% marks for Technical Branch from a recognised University.

Selection Process:- Candidates will be selected based on in AFCAT & Engineering Test Knowledge(EKT) 2016 (applicable to technical branch only)  by Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical Test and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs). All of applicants of Flying Branch should to attmpt computeruzed pilot selection (CPSS), Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).

How to Apply:- Eligible candidates may apply online through the Indian Air Force (IAF)career website (www.careerairforce.nic.in) from 04 June 2016 to 30 June 2016.
